Dodgespell sounds like a good magical game, really enjoyed the humor in this chapter.

Mmm...It's good to see more magical games for a change :P

Love love love the character play, and the dodgespell is pretty cool too. Reese and Sheila were fun, and the Karina dynamics are only getting better. This is actually much better than I imagined it would be, and I'm happy I've been reading this long. The POV took a bit to get used to, at first, but now it's not so bad. I really think 3rd person can be more efficient, but some of the inner dialogue and character play is so much harder to bring out.

I like dodgespell! fun chapter.

Only one typo that I noticed:

"Since you have not real skills in this area..."
- no real skills...

Thanks!

"you can emphasize with the feel of her arse. Oops! You can emphasize with her position"

Should be "empathize" not "emphasize"

I like dodgespell. Not many authors have invented a new magical game of their own, it's refreshing.

Thanks.   I put a decent amount of effort into modifying Dodgeball into Dodgespell.~Jim

I can see why Harry has a new favourite game. Dodgespell is also great fun. I really like the way you justify the relationship between them without making it too complicated. Great chapter.

This is a clever game you've created.

Well done.

JBern replied:

It's basically a magical version of Dodgeball.   I have the rules posted in my ff.net profile, if you feel like you might ever want to use it.   As I said in my other story, there seems to be so few choices for recreation in the HP universe.   You would think with magic that there would be so many more options.~Jim

that does sound like an exciting game, both to play and to watch - the visual images are reminiscent of volleyball for some reason.
thanks for coming up with another totally new sport

JBern replied:

I started with Dodgeball as my template.   You would think that the wizarding world would have a game that actively allows the participants to cast spells at each other.   One of the things I usually find disappointing in other stories is the lack of anything other than Quidditch, chess and studying in stories.   You would think that with magic, a whole new world of entertainment would be open to children of a wizarding society?   So, I am trying to do my part and like I said, I really don't mind if others use it in their stories.   While I might be biased, I'd rather play Dodgespell than Quidditch.~Jim
