I like your chapter closings, always something witty to look forward to. The assault rifle was a nice touch, now Harry just needs to carve some copy/conjuration runes into it's clip, and a cooling charm into the barrel. The fight was good, but Harry nearly getting beat by a goblin with an armband? Kinda sad, he would'a been dead without Hack there. I'm looking forward to more Karina, even if it is a farewell, and more Harry/Luna talk.

Yikes! Sanchez's used underwear! Ugh!!! Very motivational -In a horrific kind of way.

I feel bad for Karina. I hope she goes to North Dakota, although one of the southern states might be kinder climate-wise.

I've been meaning to mention for a while now how much I like your take on rune warding and animage/us stuff.
The rune use scheme seems very logical, it reminds me of rune magic in the Rifts game.
The Animage/us stuff is VERY similar to how real world shamanic totem magic works. It's how I always felt that the whole process *should* be.

Kwan has some truly appalling teaching methods but I imagine it makes Harry a very quick learner indeed. The threat of Day 3 would terrify me into brilliance. Once again, excellent action scenes.

Glad Bill's torqued off at him. He deserves a much worse tongue-lashing than Bill gave him. A good messenger spell (which we know, canonically, exists) could solve several problems on that front.

I think you'll be surprised by what is about to happen.   There's a tease of the first 3000 words up on Darklordpotter.   My forum on this site has the link to it.

Kwan is a motivator isn't he.   Kwan, Thundercloud, Bill and of course Hack get some quaility time in chapter 15.

Also curious about your thoughts on my version of Luna "Crazy Like a Fox" Lovegood.

Do you know what I loved about this chapter? No it was not Kwan's cruell and unusual teaching methods (although that was extremely funny). I loved the fact that Harry fought and killed someone who he didn't hate or have isues with and I loved the joan of ark comment. It was a big breath of fresh air from all those batles with death eaters or evil order members were harry's side is indutably right. What is the difference between right and wrong when Harry may have killed the savior of a race...makes ya wander

Speaking as a professional educator I would call Kwan's teaching technique "discovery teaching," and yes, duct tape can be a wonderful teaching tool. Let your mind wander around that for a bit. . .
I am hoping Karina and Chico have a decent, non-fatal solution in the near future. I like having them around.

Also, there were several instances where the story had technical difficulties. The paragraph following a spell name got duplicated in italics four times.

Nah something strange happened to the html.   It wasn't there initially and I just went back and corrected it.   I used the same html to load the chapter up to ficwad and it didn't occur there.   I'll probably have to mention it to Jeconais.
