This is excellent. I am surprised and pleased that Harry got Snape "fired". It it too bad he is still in the castle. A "guest" instructor no less. At least when Durmstrang leaves he will too. At least Dumbledore was fairly pleasant to Harry over the Snape thing. That is a surprise. It is bad that Harry was hurt so bad. Even though he lost this event he is still ahead. I like the way he is getting along with Fleur. That is an interesting couple. I look forward to how that developes. The dinner at the embassy should be interesting. I'm glad he put Neville's grandmother in her place. She really can't afford to have her attitude about Neville's mom getting out to the public. I'm glad Harry is willing and able to help with her treatment. It would be great if Neville's mom was able to help him after she and Frank being in St. Mungo's so long. I look forward to more of this story. Thank you for writing. pms

i've been waiting and hoping for an update from you on either of your HP stories.

for some reason, i was expecting harry to get nearly killed somehow, somewhere, at the end of this chapter. wonder why i had that expectation... :P

i'm looking forward as ever to see updates of this. it's one of the more rivetting stories of HP i'm following at the moment. hope it won't be too long to the next update, but i suspect i'll also have an update on your other story to tide me over some. take care.

I'll review Horror, Humor and Heroes when my copy arrives and I've had the chance to read it - somehow or other my shipping stuff was mixed up.

On to this chapter, you mixed up McGonagall's mutterings:

muttering under some very unladylike things her breath.

Which should be "muttering some very unladylike things under her breath." I'm not sure if that was due to a copy and paste uploading mishap or whether it was just typed in haste. However, its the only error I spotted when I read it.

Good chapter. I hope HJ and Fleur work out. I hope that Snape dies a very painful death soon. I hope that Bumbles and Moldie both are dead before this story ends.

I'm always pleased to see another chapter, but this was not your best, and I thought the dialogue between Fleur and Harry was unnatural at times. Usually dialogue is a strong point of yours so this really stood out to me.

Even so there was still plenty to be enjoyed and I'm waiting as impatiently as ever for your next update.

I was never as huge a fan of Hat as some of the other reviewers seem to be, but I certainly felt his absence this chapter. I can see why you left him out of this chapter, but here's hoping he has more of a place in the next one.

Nice chapter. I liked the aftermath of last chapter's big fight, and how you zipped through a simplistic tournament challenge without feeling the need to get bogged down with details. It kind of reminds me of the "Inside Straight" novel edited by George R.R. Martin, where a reality show with weekly challenges forms the backdrop for a larger story of international war and politics.

First off, wasn't it just nice to see Minerva finally acting like a Head of House and Deputy that she is, rather than the aimless follower of canon with Snape? So nice to see her tell the greasy git off, and give him a figurative kick in the butt on the way out and don't let the door hit you on the way out. Then to let us see a bit of the Albus that was supposed to have went after Grindelwald before JKR decided to ruin it in the last book, and looks like Igor is thinking he's all that, well, let him come. Now, Snape knows about Peter huh, and of course didn't say anything. Well, here's to Harry pulling his brains out from his nose in the future.

Oh Shit! Snape and Karkaroff are Voldemorts in at Hogwarts now that Barty Jr. is dead. Definately waiting to see how this goes with Snape and Dumbledore. Though I don't think that Dumbles will be able to do anything with so little.

Again waiting for the last duels where HJ completely dominates the competition. Though it's more against Krum than anyone. You are going to have the last duels next chapter right?

And I'm guessing that Alice is going to jump in on the sequel early on. Good for that plot point.

There's an interesting duel in chapter 22 just not with Krum.   You are correct.   If I use Alice, it will be in the sequel.   Tournament duels probably in chapter 23.

I think this must be the most exciting piece of Harry Potter fanfiction currently in progress. I have one question however: Perhaps I am reading to much into the summary tagline, the portion referring to not all of James dying is clear, does the reference to not all of Harry living have meaning beyond the killing curse?
