Very hesitant about reading the story, but it's already making me laugh a little bit and now I'm really interested.

Quite enjoyed this chapter. The things and comments that Harry did or made that were 'off' up till the final portion of the chapter were well done.

The slight unease that was building worked well.

His suddenly becoming a hot-rod chaser was also an excellent touch.

Then wrapping it up with Harry knowing the answer to a question about Ancient Runes and his realization of what had just happened was an excellent finish.

A solid first chapter to draw in your readers. Well done.

I like your additions to quidditch, a shooter's and passer's arc. The way Harry knows something is up, is just amusing.

I like your additions to quidditch, a shooter's and passer's arc. Not to mention the way he knows something is up is just amusing.

It's been I while since I finished reading this ff and now it feels like a good moment to start reading it again. This is a great story, worth reading twice or more.
I can't wait for the sequel of this ff.
Greetings

JBern replied:

Thanks.   I hope you enjoy Bungle as well.   Darkness was my "rookie" effort.   I like it, but I look back and see so many ways I could have done it differently.~Jim

Hmmm... I like it so far. Interesting plot twists both big and small, fun character interaction, great personal observations. *And* I've got nothing editorial to complain about, which makes this just about perfect!
Can't wait to read the rest - So I'll be doing that, for a while at least, tonight!

JBern replied:

There are some errors there.   Fortunately, you overlooked it.~Jim

*claps* usually memory fics die from too sudden a burst of memories. you are working subtlely though. n-ice

JBern replied:

Yeah, I prize realism.   The easier it is for the reader to suspend their disbelief the better the story will be for it.   Glad you appreciated that.

I'm confused...but intrigued. This looks like it could turn out to be a pretty interesting story, especially considering the quality of your previous work.

JBern replied:

Thanks for the trio of reviews.   I hope the story continues to impress you.   Chapter 13 is now posted.~Jim

No kidding. You are definitely in trouble if you know things you shouldn't.

JBern replied:

Yeah, he thought so too.   I had a little fun in chapter 2 with him thinking that he's a seer.~Jim

I just want to say that I DID NOT look at the reviews before posting my previous one.

No problem.   I'm surprised so many people read these reviews and replies.~Jim

Oh, interesting! This is quite a neat twist, I must say. I had to stop read your other story, as it completely disrupted my sleep (too well written, the horror crept under my skin and stayed there). However, my sweet hubby recommended this to me, and he was quite right. Not nightmare stuff. Good pace, but a few sentences feel a bit abrupt. THat might of course be due the influence from James...

Cheers!

JBern replied:

Well maybe you can pick up Darkness again when it's completed.   It is rather dark and gritty.   I've got about 5 chapters left of that one.   Look for chapter 6 of this one shortly.~Jim

This is a good chapter, I hate to admit that I was going to skip it.I thought it was odd that James and Harry merge into one person and it take so long for it to come out. But I thought I give a shot because I like your other two story's, I may disagree some part in it but they were pretty good. I like how that Harry dealing with everything that happen, Sirius escape, Peter goes back to Voldemort and Lupin have to resign. Harry and Lupin has a good talk, I do admit that I am surprise that Lupin is going to take some time before seeking Sirius out.Oliver is getting ready for his tryout with Puddlemere, I knew that he would do that for the fact that he want to prove that he has the skill to play pro. It really funny that Oliver and Katie thought that Harry was holding back that he has skills as a chaser, but then Harry was a seeker and never was aked to play as chaser. It nice that Harry get a chance to workout with Oliver, it might be a big help to Harry and Oliver. Harry is becoming a better flirt, It nice that starting to help other students. I have to admit this a better story then I thought it be.

JBern replied:

I'm glad you like the story.   As for Remus' plans, he's not going to deliberately say anything to Harry about his plans to meet up with Sirius.   Glad you like the part with Oliver and Katie.~Jim

It's Ragnok, not Ragnarok.

Nice chappie.

JBern replied:

Actually, it's Ragnarok - the Norse End of Days from mythology.   That's what HJ was refering to when he said that Ron was so oblivious to everything.   Glad you enjoyed the chapter.~Jim

I really liked that beginning. Poor Harry is about to have one hell of a headache I suspect. Great start.
