Great chapter Jim. I think this has to be one of the more epic fics I've read, looking forward to more battles and goblin crushing.

Great Chapter. I should have been expecting the Svetlanna thing.

Great update as always, Jim.

So the last arc is the Goblin War... am I correct in assuming that there's going to be another sequel in the works, then?

Please let us all know the when and where for the anthology. I for one will buy it just based on your fan fiction. Thanks again for another installment of this awesome fic. All the best and Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Geez - you are really good at this writing caper.
That was a brilliant read, and the last line was perfect!
I am now looking forward to Harry negotiating the Goblin situation with all his usual tact, diplomacy and subtlety.

Snigger, Baba Yaga hidding in plain sight, reminds me of "Bring Me The Head of Harry Potter".

Can't he keep it zipped for 5 minutes? Ah but he's male and a teenager, nuff said :}-

I knew that Svetlanna was Baba Yaba, Bill is going to give Harry a hard time.

Thanks for writing

Svetlanna was Baba Yaga... That is wrong on SOOOOO many levels... Poor Harry... Hopefully Luna will make sure she didn't jinx anything when she left...

Later,
Rex

Loved the fact that Baga Yaga was smoking Voldy's soul. Looking forward to the next part.

As always, another fine chapter.

I enjoyed the fight scenes and Harry's bad ass attitude.

I figured that she was the one from the start but wanted to see how you did it.

How did Pansy steal the blood anchor? I think that needs to be mentioned.I can't picture the elves letting it go.

I'm looking forward to how you get rid of the Harry horcrux. That definitely has me intrigued.

Best of luck on all of your writing.

J-Bern, you have style! When I see an update from you, I don't care if I'm in the office talking with the boss, I read it immediately. You are so cool you are like "The Fonz" of story writing. Thanks for the update I can't wait for the one for "The Lie I've Lived" and then hopefully soon onto the Great Goblin Wars. I still the the battle with the Daemon in "Bungle in the Jungle" is one of the most intense scenes - more so than in any of the recent books I have bought. "Long live the J-Bern!"

Damn... I can't say that I wasn't expecting the whole Svetlanna twist.... but damn, it was sure interesting. about Dumbledore's sincere apology over the theft of the blood bag, for some reason... i don't see it as it being a theft as much as he allowed it to happen to bring Harry back... but who knows? maybe it was... good chapter... very good chapter... Adios for now...
and see you in The Live I've Lived... =)

I'm surprised she was Baba Yaga, I thought it would be too expected. Nice story and I look forward to your update of The Lie I've Lived.

I really like what you've done with this sotry, I thought the baba yaga arxc would b e a little bit longer, seeing as how you talked about the monument in the cementary in the last chapter. I'm glad you brought harry as a horcrux in, it adds a element to canon that while i don't like it, is pivotal in the original books. will we see the old man get beat by harry any time soon?

Clell65619 posted a comment on Friday 5th December 2008 8:10am

- I figured Svetlanna was the Baba...

- Excellent chapter for a great story.

- The end was a little unclear, did Fawkes 'forget' to bring Harry's clothing along? Everyone was staring for a reason I guess.

noylj posted a comment on Friday 5th December 2008 7:31am

Could Harry ever just win one?
I hope that you have Bumble's death planned out. I can hardly wait for him to take his last breathe.
Baba Yaga is what she is, just like Tonks. Harry shagged a beautiful woman, not a 700 year old crone. If Harry saw Tonks as a 700 year old crone, would he be put off her? It wasn't even a glamor or polyjuice, it was Baba, in the flesh. The more reason for bile, in my opinion, then shagging an old crone like Narcissa or Fleur's mother or grandmother. A beautiful woman is a beautiful woman.

Another awesome chapter, thank you!

"The Bloody Puddle Maker" :) Good times!

Did you really have to kill Moody? Please kill Dumbledore if you want to off any more "good" guys.

Before this is all over, maybe Harry can put the smack-down on one fire turkey?
