Yes! Alright! Awesome! Good work =D

He felt weaker going through the wards? Is this some kind of machination of Dumbledores that the oath doesn't cover? Or am I clearly just looking too hard for reasons to distrust the old man? =)

Ward explanation coming in 2 weeks and you're probably not expecting it.~Jim

Nice chapter, can't wait till he meets his "friends", interaction with Luna will also be intresting ^^

"Identifying a limb dismembered by a spiked daemon club would be sort of like trying to figure out what Riddle had for breakfast by looking at the shit on Malfoy's lips." and "Fate has handed you a size changing demi-human with hygiene problems, gutter humor, and a willingness to put the wood to every female troll who wanders into his line of sight. Ironically, you wouldn’t trade him for a dragon — he’s just that cool." Just great, made me laugh till it hurt

Really good chapter, nice build-up along the chapter and flow from first story to second, a slight abrupt in beginning...yet understandable. I liked the sequence of saving katie, wonders how hack will be introduced to the others, and when the sheep will start calling harry dark, or if they stick with hero, keep up the Good Work , byes

Thanks for the review.   I didn't want to do a huge review of Bungle so I covered it as briefly as possible.~Jim

Feel the love!

Not quite as rock-hard ass-kicking as the later Bungle, but this more confident and measured Harry is a joy to behold. I get this feeling that he's a bit out of his depth, but that at least he knows it this time and is prepared to deal with it. The ministry scene was smooth as a 20y Laphroaig, and the comparison between Fawkes, Nagini and Hack really highlighted the differences in style between the three contestants. I'm staying right here 'til the renion.
Thanx

A great start to a story I ´ve really been looking forwrd to. Ambassador? Now that ´s a good idea. Does the magical world recognice diplomatic immunity?

YAY!!!! I love this series! Thanks so much for the first chapter of the sequal it was great. Feels like I'm back where I belong fighting evil, befriending trolls, and carving notches in my wand... oh wait no that was Harry.. but I was Harry... no wait Harry is Harry... Bah something like that.

I look forward to more updates to this and your other stories. I am currently reading my way through what you have of to fight the coming darkness.

JBern replied:

Aren't you getting tired of getting emails from me today.   This is what the 4th one as I clear out my backlog of review replies.   Glad the use of second person gives you a slight identity crisis.~Jim

I am quite pleased to have this group back on the front burner. They seem to make for good story telling. It should be interesting to see Harry try to manage his proclivity for trouble and his public relations profile. I certainly look forward to Harry and Albus thrashing out their differences. Someting tells me their concepts of the greater good don't exactly coincide. Thanks for writing. W.

Oh my goodness. At the NAFOW all day, listened to some fantastic music (all in Welsh, so I could only understand about every 10th word), came out to a car that wouldn't start and an alternator gone bad, clenched my teeth all the way home to the point I have a headache, and what do I find? This! How fantastic is that?

Good start here, I can't wait to read more!

And now the next adventure begins. I can't wait for the next chapter that when the real fireworks begin. I hope he wakes up with the weasley's that should not be named and Hermy funbags wondering why Luna is there.

What a great start! The character development of Hack and his relationship as Harry's new 'familiar' is hilarious as well as touching. Of course this Harry is going to have a distinctive ally - his luck just means that it's something outrageous that will make everyone completely uncomfortable. Sort of like Harry, now that I think about it.

Minor quibble - it's implied that this necklace is the same one Draco used in canon. If the curse was that deadly, how did Katie survive in canon?

All the stored up anger and outrage from Bungle means I'm *really* looking forward to seeing Harry let some people have it. How will Hack react if he meets people he discovered were trying to rape his friend? (I don't use that word lightly, but what they were doing with those potions was exactly that.)

I suppose Fawkes was reacting to smelling 'demon' on Harry, but if the flaming chicken is supposed to value loyalty so much (and is cognitively aware enough to understand such an abstract concept), how will it react when loyalty is betrayed by it's master? I imagine you were trying to play against the trope of 'Fawkes chooses Harry over manipulative!Dumbledore', but given what is stated in canon, the behavior seems hard to argue against. Of course, you may have something up your sleeve explaining this, and that reaction was just foreshadowing that I'm overreacting to.

By the way, if Hack is Harry's familiar now, what happens with Hedwig? Did the infusion of demonic bodily fluids (yeuch!) break that bond as well? Or can Harry maintain both bonds?

And lastly, I'll say that I feel truly sorry for anyone trying to break into Harry's room at Hogwarts. (Insert Evil Grin(TM) here...)

JBern replied:

I made the necklace scene more interesting.   Snape could have already know what to do, Katie could have had more exposure to it, either way, I wanted to jazz it up a bit so to say.

I'll work in a Hack and Hedwig scene somewhere down the road just for you!   Next chapter coming in 2 weeks!~Jim
