Congratulations on making me want to AK Dumbledore.

If his oath is really that loose (paralyzing someone by transfiguring them into furniture is pretty offensive), it makes me question whether it has any effect at all.

JBern replied:

I must be doing my job then if you want to have a go at AD.   There's no long term harm in a few minutes as a footrest - is there?

Just reread all your stories, can't wait until you start updating again!!!!

JBern replied:

Thanks for rereading all my stories.   Much more coming soon.   Lie 13 is almost done.~Jim

I really hope that you are planning on updating this soon. This story is quite interesting. I was hooked after the second chapter of Bungle in the Jungle. Is Ron going to be playing more of a role,or is him being on the back burner permanent? I hope its permanent, never really liked him as a character. Always seemed a ponce to me. Great story!

JBern replied:

Thank you for reviewing.   I'm finally catching up on my replies.   Ron is unlikely to play a larger role.   More coming soon.   Chapter 13 of Lie is almost done.

Jim

Okay - just reread the Author's note for the umptenth time (A little addicted to this entire series...) And noticed the Hack-speak at the end.

Why does it seem like we shall be seeing Hack with a Klingon or Wookie weapon in the future?

Keep up the amazing work though - I look forward with baited breath for the next chapter.

JBern replied:

Sorry for the long delay in my reply.   Thanks for the review and now that chapter 6 was posted, you have an answer about what Hack is up to, though now you probably want to forget it.

Regards~Jim

Awesome stuff dude. Good luck with the book. I can't wait until you're done with it and can continue with this fic, but all good things take time; that is, if you're a muggle.

JBern replied:

Glad you liked it.   How did I let this reveiw go unreplied for so long?   My apologies.   I'm back on a hopefully regular update pace now and expect that to continue into the summer.~Jim

Ah... And you just got to the best part too! I totally wanted to see Harry rip a bite out of Snape. The beginning of this next chapter shall be literary gold!

And Bill is totally a niffler. I will never be able to see him as anything else now.

Later,
Rex

JBern replied:

Thanks for the review.   This story is on hiatus until mid-April, but I'll be back to it soon and I promise you'll be pleased with the next arc in the story.

Great chapter. Sorry I haven't replied more quickly. Been quite busy with life. Not quite so much humour in this chapter as usual which is a shame. The humourr is what makes your stories, and especially this one, stand out so brilliantly from the crowd.
I think it was neccessary after the previous one though to have some serious elements of the plot progressed.
thanks for writing.

Awesome as usual! I really love your story and I look forward to Harrys's (Chilotha's?) conversation with Snape.

Beautifully done. I never thought I'd enjoy reading in this POV but I love the way you've written both this story and its predecessor.

JBern replied:

Glad you enjoyed it so much.   Next chapter coming in 3-4 weeks.~Jim

this is very cool! keep it up. you could have harry teach luna animagus. that would be cool! and what would she be though . . .

JBern replied:

Well Harry doesn't have much time to teach Luna.   He's got a lot on his plate at the moment.~Jim

Round 3 of trying to get this review sent, sorry if it's rather short but it's been eaten twice.

Got to love the Bitter-Harry v. Dumbledore grudge match, which I suspect would earn a fortune on Pay-Per-View. The idea of Voldemort panicking and then ruining carefully constructed plans is very funny indeed. Harry is simultaneously a plausible war leader and also an angry teenage boy during these scenes.

Dung is suitably grotesque, and there's a nice pathos to the fact that Harry regrets not hearing his mother's screams now that the daemon has taken over. I think Harry's right and Dumbledore is a right foul bastard in this.

You had me laughing my head off at the way Harry thought of kissing as like curse breaking including sending through something to spring traps then using his tongue. Also giggled over Fleur putting Bill's hand on her arse. Even better was the scene between Hermione and Harry which nailed Hermione's need to fix things as well as she once nailed Harry's saving people thing.

I suspect Kwan will have fun with Sean and Teeth - interesting idea of gold dentistry too.

Bill as a niffler and the Luna sections were an excellent touch of lightness to what is often a dark story. Loved the humour of it, especially as I suspect those photos will come back to haunt Bill. Great idea for an animagus form.

As always, excellent chapter and I can't wait for more.

PS - LOL at that omake.

JBern replied:

I have problems sometimes with my replies or long emails.   My laptop has a crappy power distribution system and sometimes cuts out.

Who doesn't like a niffler?   The pictures will likely come back to haunt Bill.   Thanks for so many reviews.~Jim

Loved the chapter. The most interesting tidbits have come in with the scroll and the future SS conversation. Can't wait for more. Oh and the omake was hilarious. Good choice.

JBern replied:

Seems like the most heavily reviewed part of the chapter was the Omake.   Sigh,   I guess that's what happens with a mostly transition chapter.   Remember what I told you Harry was going to say to Snape at some point?   It's coming up!~Jim

"She was probing specifically for memories of you and me together. Don’t take this the wrong way, but she’s a bit of a perv."

"I think she prefers the term free spirit."

*snicker*

Who wants to take bets on the script being demonic?

JBern replied:

Give it up for the Free Spirtis of the world!~Jim

A pretty good chapter. Not as exciting as most of your work, but that just can't be avoided sometimes, and is partly because Dumbledore and Harry had a lot of ground to cover. The note from the Dementors is definitely intriguing, and the chat with Snape ought to be entertaining too. Overall, for the lull between battles this is quite good. Thanks for writing. Oh, I'm looking forward to seeing Hack again, too.

Jay

JBern replied:

Thanks for all the reviews up to now.   Glad to see I can keep it up through the transition chapters.   Fortunately, the transition material is just about over.   More Hack coming up!~Jim

Time for a late review.

Interesting development so far, especially the scenes in Azkaban poor Dung is probably going to spend some time in there and get to hate Harry as well. Why do I get the impression that this could backfire?

And Mr. Teeth? Are we to expect a James Bond related villain or is it all just a coincidence? I am also wondering about the developing demon arc, will that be solved in this story or are we going to have another sequel where the demon needs t be dealt with?

So many question so few answers :). Looking forward to the next episode.

JBern replied:

Wouldn't Fleur make a good Bond girl?   There's things brewing with the note and the goblins... Saying too much would be wrong...~Jim

?? Doesn't Hack speak Troll too ??

Nice fiction by the way though I believe Harry lets himself be manipulated by Dumbledore way too much and should leave him to rot in the problems of his own making.

JBern replied:

Of course Hack speak Troll!   It is language of love.   That's why Hack get all the girls.

Actually, since I didn't write the Omake, I'm not sure why Garret PI left that out.   Glad you are enjoying the story.   Unfortunately, Harry does have to work with Dumbledore and the Ministry to get through this.~Jim

Nice work. I really enjoyed the intellectual banter between Harry and DD. You really pegged DD's condecending style and savvy!Harry really did a good job. I also like the reference to having the pre-argument with Bill - bouncing ideas off people you respect who are not afraid to tell you that you are wrong goes a long way towards staving off Hubris . .

The Dementor angle is interesting - some kind of Demon angle? That is becoming increasingly spooky . .

The Luna scenes were sweet. cynical!Harry will need that, methinks.

Oh, and by the way. Niffler!Bill and Pierced!Fluer . . . wow. Just . . . WOW. The possibilities!

JBern replied:

Harry and Dumbledore conversations are always kind of tricky.   It took a good deal of help to get this one into the shape it is.   Even so, I'm not one hundred percent satisfied.   The dementor angle is supposed to be creepy, glad you like it.

I thought people would like the Niffler.   Next update in 3-4 weeks.~Jim

Thanks.   If I didn't have that pesky job, I'd have plenty of time to write.~Jim

Liking it so far.

I'm not sure I see exactly what the cutoff line between Bungle and Turn Me Loose are, but... Oh well.

Anyway, good story. I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I've seen many people attempt to write various forms of Evil Dumbledore, but you write one of the best I've seen.

JBern replied:

Glad you enjoy it.   I really want the readers to despise this version of Dumbledore.   Technically, he isn't evil, but he isn't all that good either.~Jim
