Ha! Love the fact Wormtail's hand will kill him. Serves him right. Harry beating Moody is such a beautiful image. I really want to see Hack in Hogwarts, I imagine Hermione will have something to say about that.

The whole bounty hunter scene was superb. I especially liked the stuff with Kwan and you're right about necessary evils still being evil.

Fleur vs. Luna is one fight I would love to have read. Interesting idea with Lauren and her bra. The final letter from Luna was great - love the idea of Dumbledore using Charlie to impersonate poor Harry.

Can't wait for the sequel - I know you want to finish To Fight but I really love this so much I'm going to beg. Fantastic story. You promised us a Harry Potter of the kind we hadn't seen before and you delivered in spades. Fantastic, brilliant, excellent, great, wonderful, hilarious, tragic, heartbreaking and infuriating by turns, this has been a terrific ride. More please.

Thanks again for all the review.   Glad you liked Lacy Racy #7.   You would think that magic would get into all facets of their life.   Sorry, I really need to finish my other story.~Jim

:)

I take it then that the next one is going to be called 'Turn me loose'?

I rather liked it, It wrapped up the whole thing rather nicely, and the general feeling of resolution is a definite plus. I know you said you were most likely going to focus on your other stories for a bit, but I will most definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for the next installment.

Keep up the excellent work!
Manatheron

Excellent. I loved your rib on HBP. It's great that you included Luna's letter. It was appropriate for the end. I almost wish we could see the other perspectives as well, but it's probably better that you stuck with your guns on this one.

I look forward to the next.

Thank you for writing.

JBern replied:

Oh what's not to rib about HBP.   I won't stop mocking it there...

Thanks for all the reviews and your comments.~Jim

Beautiful! nice to see Luna writing Harry, and him back. Fun scene with the goblins, and of course, excellent work overall. I hope you upload the sequel soon. Thanks for this masterpiece!

A wonderful adventure, though I don't see why Harry is going to risk returning to Britain where he'll be under Dumbledore's power. At least not until he comes of age.

JBern replied:

Well, there are still Horcruxes to be found and most are back in England...~Jim

That was superb, an actually new and original direction for a fandom that tends to just repeat the same plots. Thanks for posting it, and the news that there will be a sequel has made my day.

JBern replied:

Thank you for your review.   Glad I could give you something new to lok at.~Jim

Not sure why exactly, but the dialogs at the beginning of this chapter seemed a bit rough.

I like Harry's solution to the bounty hunters issue, and Harry starting to build his own team. I hope Kwan sticks around, too.

It's been a great story. I'm looking forward to the sequel. How much more of Darkness do you plan there to be?

Many thanks for sharing this with us.

JBern replied:

Darkness should wrap by chapter 40.   Thanks for all your reviews.   I wasn't completely pleased with the dialogue at the beginning.   Still, it's nice to have a completed fic.~Jim

Awww... its over?! Ah well - by the way, I liked the format of this and was wondering if I could steal it for a future fic (th naming of the ic being a song and thechapter titles being lyrics.)

As to the last paragraph in the fic - NICE!!!! *snickers*

Good luck with the current project(s)

JBern replied:

I don't own the format.   I don't own anything.   Just ask my wife.   Good luck with whatever you write.~Jim

Very good as always and I truly hope you follow up on this story. I like what you have done with your characters here and would love to see how you decide to progress the story.

Also, may I suggest "Skating Away on the Thin Ice of The New Day" for the next title. I am not sure how well the lyrics would match up to your ideas for the next story but it is, I think, an appropriate title to a sequel if there is one :-)

JBern replied:

Glad you enjoyed it.   Nah, I'll stick to Turn Me Loose.   Thanks though.~Jim

Thank you.   I hope my other stories meet your expectations.~Jim

This story is one of the most enjoyable stories out there, more so for it's different writing style. Thank you for sharing it with us and looking forward to what you are going to be writing next, especially the sequal.

JBern replied:

Thanks.   Now I just need to finish my other story and start on the sequel.~Jim

Dude, two questions:

Was the European aura-reader, Ivan, inspired by the character from The Chronicles of Riddick, the precognitive prison guard who advises the warden?

Was the black witch with the melodic voice, Kendra, inspired by Kendra, the Jamaican Slayer, who was supposed to replace Buffy on BtVS?

JBern replied:

Thanks.   I already answered the question in our email.   Good luck with your story.~Jim

Abso-bloody-lutely awesome! Hack the demonic-troll! Oh on that note, has Harry gone jaguar since the demon fight? It could sort of make sense if any demonic traits carried over to that shape and not his human one. Hitwizards...turn-about is fair play!
A great ending. It neatly wraps up a lot loose ends and leaves me impatient for the sequel.
The radio at the end was a great touch.

JBern replied:

Thanks.   Glad you liked it.   If there are any changes in Harry, they might not appear for some time...
