Luna's part was brilliant.

Thanks.   I hope you continue to enjoy the part she plays in the story.~Jim

I think Harry's letter to Dumbledore was well justified. Bernini making the statue means it must have been exceptionally beautiful once. Hernando is great fun. Please please please tell me that it isn't true! Horrible mean place to end it, cruel evil author! More please. Fantastic chapter. I just can't believe you stopped it there!

JBern replied:

Glad you liked it.   I went through and googled famous sculpters of the 1600s and came up with Bernini.   I'm no art critic, but his stuff is very good.   I altered my schedule to leap right in to chapter 21 instead of going to my other two stories.   I realized I shouldn't leave ya'all hanging like that.   Chapter 21 should be done by the weekend.~Jim

You killed Bill off that is soooo! evil, I hope Harry is wrong and it is not Bill. Chilotha is going down because a Pissed off Harry is one Bad MF. Things are really heating up. Update soon. I love this story, very different from the hundreds that I have read. Thanks for writing.

I've altered my update schedule to do chapter 21 of this one immediately.   It's not really fair for me to leave all you readers twisting in the wind on this one.   I should have it ready by the end of the week.   Glad you enjoy it so much.   Thanks for the review.~Jim

Oh my! I second Harry in yelling, "Not Bill! Not Bill!" This is a very well done and fascinating chapter. I like the fact that you used a talking statue instead of a talking portrait. It's a wonderful idea and a fun one too.

I can't wait for the next chapter.

That one is going to be very hard to explain to Fleur. We just seem to be getting deeper and deeper into the excrement. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel or is this "The Perfect Storm," wizard style?

On a side note, I was  in the US Navy onboard the USS Virginia CGN-38 and was actually out in the real "Perfect Storm" headed for Halifax Nova Scotia.   We turned around, but not before encountering some of the nastiest sea state, I ever experienced.

Wow - That may qualify for a nomination as Evil Cliffie of the Year!

Thanks.   I'll take that as a compliment.~Jim

You killed Bill? What a sadistic thing to do! How could you do that! Descriptive words can not express even a little of the evil you are!

The reviewer is... excited at the pace picking up, but sad at the same time. He thanks the author for providing him and his peers this entrancing story.

Wow didn't see that coming. Brilliant though.

I actually think that Bill being killed off is not that bad at this point in the story. Obviously it hurts because he is a great character but bill also fulfilled the role he was meant to perform, get to the horcrux. Now let the star of our story go the last mile. Also it causes Harry to take charge of not only the expedition but also his own life moving forward. So I think you should leave Bill Dead.

I like the statue de Soto, if anyone could do it Bernini could.

Maybe Harry can show some of that power the dark lord knows not and use it on Chilotha.

Great Story.

The fates of the characters were pretty much decided long ago.   Glad you appreciate the works of Bernini.   I was suitably impressed after googling sculpters of the 1600s.

I say you watch too much Tarantino. :/

Dare I say that the Order will be involved in taming that Demon? It seems possible...

Can't wait for the next chapter.

Well, I just found this story, and I must say that I'm fascinated by it! I can't believe you killed off Bill Weasley, tho. He was a good guy. Sanchez I can believe, even tho Hack was a little sad about it. But Bill? Too cruel! I'm looking forward to reading more in this story. How fast do you write? Can you possibly write quicker than you already do? I need more of this story! :-D

To answer your question, I have 3 stories in progress.   Generally, I put up a chapter a week on a rotating basis.   You should try my other two for more fun and enjoyment.~Jim

On a side note, it is a high compliment to tell a writer that his work actually evoked some emotion on your part.   Since I'm not making any money off of this, it's the largerst reward I can get.~Jim

I love this story, it's full of surprises.
The plot is twisted and although narration style was a bit annoying at the beginning I got used to it.
BUT PLEASE PLEASE DON'T LET BILL BE DEAD!!!!
Think of something, anything that would let him get out of it somewhat unscratched. He is the most dissent of the Weasleys. Harry still needs help and well delivered life wisdom and a real friend, and no, I don’t think a ghost of Bill would be such a big help to him. And especially, it wouldn’t be good for his mental health. And besides Bill has a weeding to attend to :-), and lots of small one-eight Veelas to make ;-)

Thanks for the story.
Ivy

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Now that thay's out of my system let the review comence. While I don't like the statue as a plot device and I hate you for the cliffhanger, I loved this chapter. The death of Bill, while sad, was expected.I am looking forward to the rest of the battle (if yow want to be trully evil, you should make the next chapter in Dumbledore's POV :P). Keep up the good work

Wow! Great chapter as always. I have gone back and read it three times looking for details that I may have missed the first time. For instance, I wonder what Lone Thundercloud "opens his mouth to say" that Harry doesn't stick around to hear.

There are a ton of possibilities that mean that Bill could still be alive. I find it entirely possible that Chilotha kept Bill alive for no other reason than to "help" with any curse breaking that he may need after he becomes re-embodied.

However, having said all that I am fascinated by your decision to have Harry face a dark lord on his own before facing Riddle. This confrontation has tremendous potential. Its almost like its Harry's "warm-up" dark lord before he moves on to bigger game. Who knows, maybe the "power he knows not" will manifest itself during Harry's battle with Chilotha.

No matter what, it was a great chapter and I look forward to reading more as soon as it is available. Keep up the great work.

Aw man, you killed Bill. Didn't you say he was the one you gave the best chances to survive this? Or is this just a ruse and Bill is not really dead? Unfortunately I don't think so.

Either way, Harry will now give the undead dark lord-wannabe hell. Looking forward to the resolution. Now hurry up and write it! ;)
